- MIDI (.mid), MusicXML (.musicxml, .mxl), and PDF. MIDI files are automatically converted to readable notation; PDFs are displayed as reference scores.

- On desktop, connect via USB and use a browser with Web MIDI support (Chrome, Edge, or Firefox). In the iPad app, connect via USB-C or Bluetooth MIDI — Claviano works with all major brands like Yamaha, Roland, Kawai, and Nord.
